There isn’t really any excuse for my lack of blogging lately other than the fact that it hasn’t been a priority! The past month and a half has been so fun and yet so hectic that if I had a free moment- it was spent either visiting with family/friends, relaxing or on a run. In a nutshell, here is what March and half of April has consisted of:

  • Big Brother Marathons! Season 15 and now we’ve worked our way back to Season 13 and 14.
  • The Impossible via Netflix- a unbelievable true story of a family experiencing a tsunami.
  • Bachelor finale.
  • Shutter Island.
  • This Is Us.
  • Animal planet.
  • Mona Lisa Smile.
  • Army Wives.

  • Dinner with Uncle Chris and Ruth while watching Concussion (Will Smith).
  • 3 dinners with Jamie 🙂
  • Lunch and Hidden Figures with mom and Aunt Rose.
  • Dinner at the Gornall’s house with the Bevin’s.
  • Candice’s 40th surprise birthday party.
  • Dinner with Uncle John/Laura at Islands.
  • El Comal date with Mom and Jim.
  • Host Uncle Jason and Auntie Chris for a weekend in SD. Dinner in Little Italy!
  • Lake Miramar with Michelle, Joann and Harper then family breakfast.
  • Laker vs. Cavs game in LA for Colby, Daddio, KK and Paul.
  • Danielle’s birthday brunch at café merlot with Ginny and Jamie.
  • Lunch with Teylor- she brought me board and brew at work 🙂
  • Family Sunday hike with Middleton’s at Lake Poway.
  • Easter 2017 celebration with family.

  • Water shut off! What a nightmare.
  • Reading A NEW EARTH by Eckhart Tolle.
  • Daylight Savings begins.
  • Blood work to check Vitamin D levels.
  • C painted our Master Bathroom- looks beautiful!
  • C installed new cellular blinds in Master bedroom.
  • Joey fixed my car’s tire via plug- I actually watched him fix it in 5 minutes which was neat to observe/learn.
  • Hair appointment with my mom’s hair dresser, also named Melissa.
  • Root canal!

In typical Courtney fashion, I built a traumatic story in my mind of how horrible the root canal would be- and of course it wasn’t anything near what I had imagined. It was a piece of cake and turned out to be fine. It’s funny how some aspects of lives aren’t even close to how we think they will be once we experience them for ourselves.

[feb 2017 favorites]

My recent posts have been about our trip to Seattle and Eckhart Tolle quotes, but I haven’t updated much about our everyday life and in between 🙂

Here are my favorite memories from February 2017; (and I just noticed these pictures are ALL outdoors- imagine that!)

[seattle + bothell]

A couple of weeks ago, we went to visit Colby’s mom/family in Washington. It was a quick trip and so good to see everyone 🙂

We flew into Seattle, where Robin and Anthony picked us up from the airport. We had lunch at Pikes Market Place followed by a visit to the original Starbucks. Who knew that Starbucks had a different logo/sign? Not me lol. We rode on the ferris wheel, which was probably my favorite part of the whole trip.
